‘I’m hearing whispers’ – Top source on Erling Haaland quitting Man City to join rivals
Erling Haaland has been tipped for a shock Manchester City exit at some point in the future.
Haaland signed a remarkable nine-year contract at Man City in January, which will keep him at the club until 2034 as it stands.
The Norwegian striker has had a magnificent start to the season, scoring 11 Premier League goals in just eight games.
On Saturday (18 October), the 25-year-old bagged a brace as Man City beat Everton 2-0, a result that leaves them just three points adrift of table-topping Arsenal.

Real Madrid could swap Vinicius Jr for Erling Haaland
As he continues to smash goalscoring records, Haaland has attracted the interest of Real Madrid, who have reportedly made contact with his agent.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes there is a possibility that the striker could leave Man City at the end of the season and make a move to the Spanish capital.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Real Madrid could sell Vinicius Jr to the Saudi Pro League for over £200million, in order to raise the funds for Haaland.
Wyness added that the domino effect that ends with the Norwegian international moving to Madrid is feasible, but still unlikely at this stage.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Haaland has a contract until 2034, so it would take him to decide that he wanted to move and Man City to decide that they want to cash in on him.
“There’s a lot of talk about Vinicius Junior going from Real Madrid to Saudi. The rumours of £200m for Vinicius Junior could be one thing that would allow Real Madrid to have the power to make a bid for Haaland.
“The rumours are that Real Madrid are talking to his agent, and all they’re doing right now is asking, if we did come in with a bid, do you think there’s a chance he might be interested? And it’s not beyond the realms of possibility, despite this long contract, that a deal could be done.
“If Vinicius Junior goes, as I say, then there becomes a bit of a domino effect. and it becomes feasible. So there’s probably a little bit more to it than meets the eye.
“I could see Haaland leaving at the end of this season. He’s scored obviously a lot of goals for City and it may be time for him to move on. Maybe he does want to go to Real Madrid for four or five years.
“I would say it’s still unlikely, but I think there is more than just a whiff of fantasy about this. There’s something to this.”
Erling Haaland would cost over £250m
With over eight years still to run on his current contract, it would take a record-breaking bid for Real Madrid to prise the centre-forward away from Man City.

Haaland has been in scintillating form this season, and that, coupled with his long-term deal, would likely see his price tag set at over £250m.
Wyness believes that the move is possible if Real Madrid can find the funds that City would require.
He said: “It could be something like £250m to £300m, even with bonuses. That’s the money that will make Man City think about it.
“If Haaland himself thinks he’s done his job at City, and maybe he does need to go to Real Madrid and have another part of his life, then the deal is perfectly possible.”
