Insider makes ‘dangerous’ Cornet claim ahead of Tottenham showdown
Burnley attacker Maxwel Cornet is capable of inspiring Burnley to an unlikely EFL Cup win over Tottenham tonight.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Cornet, 25, signed for Burnley from Lyon in the summer and has made an electric start to life in England.

He has so far scored three goals in four Premier League outings and also registered an assist in his sole outing in the EFL Cup.
Two of Cornet’s goals came against Southampton at the weekend as Sean Dyche’s team picked up a respectable point on the South coast.
Tottenham travel to Turf Moor tonight as they look to put two back to back losses behind them.
Wenham hopes Cornet is left out by Dyche as he fears the attacker could contribute to a cup upset.
“Hopefully we won’t see Maxwel Cornet night,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He looks like a very shrewd acquisition from them. It’s also a very un-Burnley signing.
“We tend to see Sean Dyche sign English or Irish players with plenty of Premier League experience.
“Obviously, Cornet is neither. He looks dangerous and he’s hit the ground running. He has also scored a few goals.
“From what I have seen he’s very versatile so it’s hard to predict where he will play in any given game.
“I hope he’s not involved tonight because he’s exactly the sort of payer who could play a blinder and cause a cup upset.”

Tottenham lost 1-0 to West Ham and the weekend.
That followed a midweek loss to Vitesseby the same scoreline.
In other news, a club insider has named the Tottenham 11 that will line up against Burnley tonight.
