Insider names three Leicester City players who scare Tottenham
Jamie Vardy is one of three Leicester City stars who will scare Tottenham ahead of Thursday night’s clash.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham are set to face Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Thursday (15 December).
This would be Spurs’ first game since 5 December’s win over Norwich due to the club’s ongoing Covid crisis.
Vardy has nine goals in 15 Premier League outings this season and Wenham expects him to test the Tottenham defence.
“It’s so hard to predict this one,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I think James Maddison is in a bit of a purple patch and Youri Tielemans and Jamie Vardy are always dangerous.
“Despite their struggles this season, they are a very, very good side.
“There seems to be a negative feeling since they went out of the Champions League to Napoli.
“Napoli are a very good side and regularly play in the Champions League, Leicester went over there in difficult circumstances and didn’t disgrace themselves.
“We had a good win at Leicester on the last day of last season and we seem to enjoy playing there.
“Unfortunately Jamie Vardy has a great record against us and I have a feeling he could do some major damage.
“No matter what team we put out, I expect us to go there and win.”
Vardy has scored eight goals in 15 outings against Tottenham during his career.
He has only scored more against Manchester City and Arsenal.
