Insider reveals chances of Tottenham pulling off ‘brilliant’ Christensen signing
Tottenham are at a disadvantage as they reportedly compete to secure the “brilliant signing” of Andreas Christensen.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Christensen‘s contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of June (2022).

Football Insider revealed (26 November) that Chelsea had made a breakthrough in negotiations over a new deal with the player.
According to the Daily Star (11 December), Tottenham would be interested in signing Christensen if he fails to agree fresh terms.
Wenham would love to see Tottenham sign the Chelsea defender but insisted the club are at the back of the queue.
“He would be a brilliant signing,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He counts as homegrown. He’s a winner having won the Champions League and the Premier League.
“Christensen is a full Denmark international already, he knows Hojbjerg, he’s already in London.
“The list goes on. There are so many reasons he would be a brilliant signing.
“However, for all of those reasons, Chelsea can offer him those things.
“They can offer him Champions League football and more money. Why he would leave Chelsea for Tottenham, I can’t figure out.
“If he does leave Chelsea, it would be for a big European club. I think I’ve seen links with Bayern Munich.

“Clubs like that can offer pre-contract and we can’t so we are at a disadvantage there.
“I think we have no chance of signing him even though he fits the profile we should be looking for.”
