Insider reveals how much Everton want Tottenham to pay for Pickford
Tottenham should offer Hugo Lloris a new deal rather than signing Jordan Pickford to be their new number one for £40million.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
As reported by the Telegraph (18 November), Tottenham are plotting a raid for Pickford, 27, as they search for Lloris’ long-term successor.

The Spurs captain is entering the final months of his contract and it is unclear whether he will sign a new deal.
The Frenchman is still Spurs’ number one and has started in all of their Premier League games this season.
Wenham insists Pickford isn’t worth the £40million Everton could demand for their stopper and believes Spurs should stick with Lloris.
“Everton signed Jordan Pickford for £25million,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He has since established himself as the England number one and has two years remaining on his deal.
“Everton will look for £40million as a minimum. Is he worth that? In my opinion, no.
“Is he better than Hugo Lloris? No. The simple thing there is to extend Lloris’ contract.
“I think some fans are concerned about the homegrown situation.
“We should have no problem about that. From next season Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke will both count as homegrown.
“We have plenty of players who qualify but some fans seem to get very confused about that.
“If it’s between Pickford and Lloris, for me, it’s Lloris.”

Pickford has only missed one league game this season as he sat out his side’s game against Villa with a shoulder injury.
He has also continued to impress as England’s number one following his impressive Euro 2020 campaign.
