Insider suggest Tottenham could make ‘strange request’ to the FA after weekend development
Tottenham could ask the FA if they can use St George’s Park as their base of operations during February.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Tottenham face four successive away games against Man City, Burnley, Leeds and Middlesbrough between 19 February and 2 March.

Wenham has suggested Tottenham, who previously used Wembley as their home ground while their new stadium was built, could ask to work out of the Burton base during that time.
“This might sound like a strange request but why not set up a camp up north?” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It’s four games away from London in 12 days. I wonder if it’s worth asking England and the FA if we can work out of St George’s.
“After all, England use Hotspur Way all the time. We could use it as a training base and set off to games from there.
“It would help recovery and it would obviously get rid of a lot of travel time.
“Of course, it’s not up to me and I know players have families and a home life so two weeks away not be ideal.
“I just think with those quick games something like that might make sense.”

Tottenham drew Middlesbrough in the FA Cup after beating Brighton on (5 February).
Spurs last faces Boro on 4 February 2017 in the Premier League, winnign1-0 thanks to a Harry Kane penalty.
