Insider: Tottenham could sign Kessie ‘within days’ as Paratici works the phone
Tottenham could sign Franck Kessie thanks to the pulling power of Antonio Conte.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On 2 November, Gazzetta dello Sport claimed Tottenham were in “advanced talks” to sign the 24-year-old AC Milan lynchpin.

Kessie has made 21 appearances for the club so far this season, scoring five goals.
Spurs may need to replace Giovanni Lo Celso in January as Wenham told this site on Monday (27 December) that “something may be agreed” over the player’s potential January exit.
Kessie has been linked with Tottenham since the summer and Wenham sees him as a realistic signing.
“The Franck Kessie stuff is still going on,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“The opportunity to get him on a pre-contract is coming up in a few days and I think that’s one to keep an eye on.
“I’ve mentioned before about Paratici’s links with Serie A and how he is a specialist at getting these deals done.
“That one would not surprise me. There are reportedly a lot of clubs interested in him.
“But now we have the pulling power of Antonio Conte, which could give us an edge.”

Tottenham sit sixth in the Premier League table.
Over the festive period, they beat Crystal Palace on Boxing Day before drawing away at Southampton two days later.
In other news, a Tottenham insider has tipped Conte to make a U-turn on a player who ‘looked certain to leave in January’.
