Insider: Tottenham in line to make ‘fortune’ after ‘amazing’ development
Tottenham could make a fortune after showing they can broadcast Premier League games at short notice.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
BT were scheduled to show Liverpool’s game against Leeds on Boxing Day before the game was cancelled three days beforehand.

The broadcaster instead decided to air Spurs’ clash with Crystal Palace, which the home side won 3-0.
BT were only able to move from Liverpool to London at short notice because of Spurs’ built-in media amenities, per The Sun on 28 December.
That earned both Spurs and Palace a £1m bonus in the form of a facility fee and Wenham predicted the club could make a fortune from this occurring again in future.
“The story explained how TV coverage normally takes weeks to plan,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“They have to bring their own vans and equipment. Our stadium has everything built in, which is amazing.
“It’s like plug and play. This has set a great example as well. Whenever games get cancelled or moved, Sky and BT know they can move to our stadium and show us.
“Obviously we get money for that, it could make us a fortune. It also gives our fans who can’t make the game more of a chance to watch us.

“I was pleased by this, it will help Tottenham secure more events in the future.
“Companies know we are an easy option if they are ever stuck, I think we will see it happen again.”
