Insider: Tottenham ‘very close’ to finalising £500m deal after source’s update
Tottenham are being “realistic” as they hunt for a stadium naming rights deal worth £500million.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
On Saturday (5 March) Football Insider revealed Tottenham’s stop-start attempts to secure a naming rights deal for their stadium has taken a new step with talks held over an agreement worth up to £500million.

A Spurs source has told Football Insider that the board have made it clear in extensive discussions with potential naming rights partners they are holding out for a deal worth £25m-a-year.
Wenham insists this figure is achievable and cited Spurs’ previous deals with Nike and AIA.
“I think that’s realistic,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We appointed Todd Kline from America who I know was involved in several world record deals for NFL stadiums in America.
“I know £500million sounds like a big number but it’s only £25million per season for however many years, for example.
“Tottenham have done big deals like this before. We agreed Nike’s record deal with any club ever when we signed a 15-year deal for them to make our kits.
“We have a long-term deal with AIA who sponsor our shirts, we have a new long-term deal with Getir.

“There are long-term deals with Cinch in place. So I think we will get a deal worth around that £500million mark.
“As I have said previously, we came very close to agreeing a deal like that with HSBC and we are very close again.”
In other news, one expert has been blown away by a Tottenham star likened to Diego Maradona.
