Exclusive: Details of blockbuster bid Inter Milan are presenting to Rangers

Inter Milan are presenting a blockbuster bid to Rangers for Alfredo Morelos worth £25million, Football Insider can reveal.

The Serie A giants are among a number of elite clubs keen to test the Glasgow giants’ resolve to hang on to their star striker over the next eights days.

Italian sources have told Football Insider that Inter have put together a package worth £25m including add-ons in a bid to entice Rangers to sell Morelos.

Such a fee would comfortably smash the Light Blues’ record sale, which was the £12million paid by Arsenal for Giovanni van Bronckhorst in 2001.

The forward, 23, has leapt to the top of multiple clubs’ target lists, with Football Insider also revealing this week that Tottenham are keeping close tabs on him.

Spanish club Sevilla have also been linked with Morelos ahead of the 31 January cut-off.

Football Insider revealed on Monday that Inter had turned their attention to signing Morelos after growing frustrated in their Olivier Giroud pursuit.

The Italian title challengers want more firepower up front despite the big-money captures of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez from Man United last summer.

Rangers chairman Dave King and manager Steven Gerrard have both publicly stated Morelos will not be sold this month.

Football Insider revealed on 12 December that club chiefs had conveyed the same message to the Columbian’s representatives and made it clear they would reject all offers for him in this window.

Morelos has spearheaded Rangers’ bid to stop Celtic winning nine titles in a row as well as helping turn them into a European force after a decade in the shadows.

He has banged in 28 goals and supplied nine assists from 35 appearances in all competitions, including 13 goals from 13 Europa League clashes.

In other Rangers news, it can be REVEALED that an Ibrox senior star is close to agreeing pre-contract with English club after outstanding opening half to campaign.
