Ipswich star’s younger brother offered Tottenham deal, two-year contract lined up
Tottenham have offered a contract to Ipswich Town star Jaden Philogene’s brother, who is expected to join up with the academy.
Philogene joined Ipswich in January, leaving Aston Villa in a deal reportedly worth around £20million.
The Villans had bought the winger back from Hull City just six months prior, but the England youth international had struggled to feature under Unai Emery.
Villa fans have called for Philogene to return once again, however, with the 23-year-old starring for Ipswich in the Championship.
Evann Guessand has been unimpressive since arriving at Villa, with fans often left frustrated with the winger’s performances.

Tottenham offer deal to Blake-Bidace Philogene
Tottenham have looked to strengthen their academy in recent years, signing several young talents with the aim of developing first-team players.
The standout is undoubtedly Luca Williams-Barnett, who was acquired from Luton Town as a boy, and has grown to be among the most exciting talents in English football.
The 17-year-old made his Tottenham debut in the Carabao Cup this season, and is surely in line for further involvement in Thomas Frank‘s team.
For the Under-18s, the midfielder netted 24 goals and provided 13 assists in just 31 appearances, and his transition to the U21s has seen no difference in his form.
This season already, Williams-Barnett has scored six and set up four in just seven Premier League 2 fixtures.
Tottenham have looked to bolster the U18s in the England youth international’s absence, with Lilywhite Rose reporting on Thursday that a two-year scholarship deal has been offered to Blake-Bidace Philogene.
The brother of Jaden, Philogene is a midfielder and has already made an appearance for England’s U16 squad.
Thomas Frank must steady ship before welcoming youth
Frank has been hesitant to turn to the academy during his time at Tottenham so far. The Dane has opted for the players he knows, but to little effect.
The North London club are without a win in any of their last five games across all competitions, losing three of them.
| Tottenham – fixtures | Date |
| Brentford (H) | 6 Dec |
| Slavia Prague (H) | 9 Dec |
| Nottingham Forest (A) | 14 Dec |
| Liverpool (H) | 20 Dec |
| Crystal Palace (A) | 28 Dec |
Pressure already appears to be intensifying on the former Brentford boss, who, so far, has failed to encourage any consistent attacking output from his team.
There is a feeling that Frank will eventually get it right, and the academy players hoping to make their mark may just have to wait until he does.
