For Egypt against Cape Verde, Marmoush started on the right flank, and Man City fans instantly took to social media when the forward scored an equaliser in the second half.
Marmoush burst in-behind the Cape Verde defence, held off a covering defender before slotting the ball underneath the goalkeeper with his left foot.
Supporters believe that Marmoush should now get a run in the team on the wing, with Guardiola needing extra sources of goals upon a heavy reliance on Haaland.
