‘It’s going to be wild’ – Tottenham among five Premier League clubs set for signing blitz
Tottenham are among five Premier League clubs who could be set for a signing blitz before the transfer window closes.
Top-flight clubs have spent close to £2billion already this summer following several big-money deals.
Mohammed Kudus has been Tottenham’s most expensive signing of the window, having secured a £55million deal with West Ham for his signature.
Mathys Tel, Kevin Danso, Luka Vuskovic and Kota Takai have also joined Spurs on permanent deals, taking their overall spending to around £125million.
Meanwhile, Joao Palhinha has completed a loan move to north London from Bayern Munich, with Tottenham holding the option to sign him permanently for £27million next summer.
Football Insider revealed on 11 August Tottenham are in advanced talks to sign Savinho from Manchester City as Thomas Frank looks to strengthen his attacking options before the window closes on 1 September.

Tottenham to move transfer market as multiple deals on the cards
This article contains exclusive comment from Stefan Borson, a former financial adviser to Man City.
Borson believes West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are set to join Tottenham in ramping up their transfer activity this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Borson said: “I do think that the remaining days of the window are going to be extremely busy.
“If you just go down the list of teams who are definitely going to spend and are definitely in need of spending, you’ve got West Ham, Spurs definitely, Nottingham Forest probably because of the European burden, Crystal Palace definitely, Newcastle definitely.
“Those teams alone are going to make the market move because there’s going to be just multiple players moving around.
“That’s not even taking account of the fact Chelsea are definitely going to buy again. Liverpool are definitely going to buy a forward. United might buy somebody. Arsenal might not, but there are some rumours.
“Then, of course, if any of those teams also can ship out some of the players that maybe they’re hoping to but don’t expect to.
“Manchester United will sell. They just have no choice with a number of those players. But if there were additional sales on top, then I think it’s going to spark the market even more.
“So, I think it’s going to be a very wild few weeks.”

Tottenham could hijack RB Leipzig’s Harvey Elliott deal
In terms of another potential incoming, Football Insider revealed on 8 August Tottenham could hijack RB Leipzig’s move for Harvey Elliott, who has emerged as a target following James Maddison’s injury.
Leipzig are believed to be the current front-runners in the race to sign the England Under-21 international, but Spurs are keeping a close eye on the situation with a move in mind.
Elliott started in just six of his 28 appearances last season, where he registered five goals and three assists.
