‘It’s not dead, I expect him to turn up at Tottenham’ – Daniel Levy’s stunning plan revealed
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy could still agree a deal for Manchester City star Savinho this summer.
Former Spurs scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Savinho wants to join Tottenham after spending just one season at the Etihad Stadium.
However, Man City have reportedly decided Savinho will stay at the club despite strong interest from Tottenham.
The 21-year-old joined Pep Guardiola’s side in a £30.8million deal from French club Troyes last summer.
Savinho, who missed Man City’s opening-day victory over Wolves through injury, registered three goals and 13 assists in 48 appearances last season.

Pep Guardiola wants to keep Savinho after Tottenham interest
This article contains exclusive comment from Keith Wyness, former Everton, Aston Villa and Aberdeen CEO.
Tottenham are looking to replace James Maddison after he suffered an interior cruciate ligament injury, while former captain Son Heung-min has joined Los Angeles FC.
Levy is also aware Thomas Frank will need a larger squad to compete with the demands of the Champions League this season following Spurs’ interest in Savinho.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness said: “I did think he was going to be going to Spurs and I still think there’s a slim chance.
“I don’t think it’s necessarily dead because if we’re to take Pep at his word about reducing the squad size, he can’t have all these players he wants all the time, so somebody’s going to pay the penalty.
“We know Savinho’s a quality player, but I think he would suit Spurs and I think Daniel Levy’s played a longer game here, and I still expect him to hopefully turn up for Spurs for what the Spurs fans would want.
“It’s another one that’s going to be a last-minute decision for City and I think Savinho is one that Pep would love to keep but he knows he can’t keep everybody that he wants, and I still think there’s a chance he may be off.”

Tottenham close in on Eberechi Eze deal
In terms of another potential incoming, Brown told Football Insider Tottenham are closing in on signing Eberechi Eze after a fresh round of talks with Crystal Palace.
Selhurst Park chiefs had originally been holding out for the 27-year-old’s £68million release clause, but they are now prepared to accept a lower price following its expiry.
The England international registered 14 goals and 11 assists in 43 appearances last season, including the winning strike in the FA Cup final against Man City in May.
