Jack Grealish could quit Man City after ‘frank talks’ – Keith Wyness
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has suggested Jack Grealish could complete a sensational move from Man City this summer.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the 66-year-old – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – insisted there is no need for “major surgery” at the Etihad Stadium after another successful campaign.
Grealish made 27 starts in 36 total appearances across all competitions for Man City in the 2023-24 season.
He managed just three goals and three assists in those outings and did not feature in each of City’s last four games.
According to the Daily Mail (29 May), Pep Guardiola held “frank talks” with Grealish recently about his form after he became unhappy with his training performances.
Wyness suggests new ‘question marks’ about Grealish future at Man City
The former Aston Villa star, who cost a reported £100million in 2021, is under contract until June 2027.
Wyness told Football Insider‘s Insider Track podcast: “I think Guardiola has built a very good nucleus, he’s been able to freshen things up with just one or two new moves each summer.
“That’s what I think he’ll carry on this year – there’s no need for any major surgery.
“It just needs to be refreshed slightly, and that’s what I think he’ll do.
“I’ve always felt that Grealish, who I had at Villa, hasn’t been played properly.
“That may be one question mark, whether Jack stays or not.

“We’ll have to wait and see but I can certainly see him leaving.
“I don’t see too much movement in this City squad.”
