Jack Grealish immediately reacts to Jordan Pickford and Everton vs Newcastle: ‘Absolutely unreal’
Jack Grealish continues to play a major role in squad morale despite spending the rest of his Everton loan on the sidelines.
The Man City loanee was ruled out for the season with a broken foot last month, and despite only temporarily being a Toffee, he kicks every ball and sings every chant at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Supporters were on the edge of their seats following a five-goal thriller between Everton and Newcastle United on Saturday, 28 February, with Thierno Barry scoring the all-important winner at St James’ Park.
Despite the five goals, it was Jordan Pickford who stole the headlines with an outrageous save to deny Sandro Tonali in the fourth minute of added time in the North East.
It was a save which helped David Moyes‘ side to secure their first Premier League win in three games, seeing the team move within eight points of the top five positions in the table.

Although he is not able to play, Grealish has faced every high and low with the Everton squad, taking to social media to share his love for the goalkeeper following the match-defining save.
Sharing the full-time score on Instagram stories (28 February), Grealish wrote: “Naaaa what a win and performance!! Absolutely unreal from everyone!! @jpickford1 save of the season. UTFT!!”
It is obvious to see just how much the loanee is relishing his time at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and if the Toffees can afford it, he would probably love to move his career there permanently.

The Toffees have now moved up to eighth in the Premier League table, while the Magpies fall to 12th after Sunderland sealed a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth earlier in the day.
Jordan Pickford key as Everton pick up three precious points
Despite conceding twice to Newcastle, Pickford remained focused right until the final whistle, pulling off one of the most impressive saves of the season so far.
The England international also made four saves in total, making five recoveries and taking 38 touches [FotMob].
Of course, due to his Sunderland roots, the goalkeeper would have taken any opportunity to frustrate the Magpies, and he did that in the final stages at St James’ Park.
Strangely, Everton won their last away game against Fulham, scoring a late winner, but have struggled in front of their home supporters in recent weeks.
If Moyes’ side are to be in with an outside chance of European football, the home form must vastly improve in the final few games of the season.
