Jack Grealish: Pundit issues ‘outstanding’ claim after ‘stupid’ Man City reveal
Jack Grealish will not be worried about his lack of goals and assists for Man City if Pep Guardiola is not, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Grealish’s ex-Aston Villa teammate insisted he was “outstanding” in the 4-1 demolition of Man United on Sunday (6 March).
The England international was not directly involved with a goal at the Etihad but played the full 90 minutes on his first Premier League start since January.

As quoted by the Mirror on Saturday (5 March), Guardiola insisted Grealish would be a “stupid man” if he was frustrated by his lack of goals in a City shirt.
Grealish has found the net just twice in 18 top-flight appearances since his £100million move from Aston Villa last summer (2021).
“I wouldn’t be worried if I was him,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Jack was outstanding against Manchester United. He’s looking more like a team player now which is important.
“All he’s got to do is just keep performing. His manager isn’t too fussed about the stats and he shouldn’t be.
“He needs to keep training hard as his manager is still happy with his performances.
“He was outstanding against Man United and if your manager says he’s not bothered about stats then he deserves to keep playing.
“He started ahead of Sterling and he proved that it was the right decision.”

Grealish has 17 goals and 21 assists in 114 Premier League games across his time with Aston Villa and City.
The 26-year-old is under contract at the Etihad until the summer of 2027 after signing a six-year deal last summer (2021).
