Jack Grealish sends message to Jordan Pickford as permanent Everton deal looks more likely

Jack Grealish has hit the headlines again for Everton with his performances in their latest victory.

The Toffees climbed above their bitter rivals Liverpool in the Premier League table thanks to their 1-0 win over Manchester United on Monday night, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall netting the only goal of the game.

Grealish was hailed for his defensive efforts for Everton to help secure a vital clean sheet, in what was the latest in a string of impressive displays from the England World Cup hopeful.

David Moyes and Co. have the option to turn his loan from Manchester City into a permanent deal for £50million at the end of the season, and that is quickly becoming a realistic possibility.

Jack Grealish sends message to Jordan Pickford on Instagram

Grealish’s recent performances for Everton have had many people calling for him to earn a spot in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad, although that didn’t materialise for him in the November international break.

Nevertheless, that appeared to drive the 30-year-old forward throughout the 90 minutes at Old Trafford on Monday night, as he played a key role in his team getting over the line.

Grealish made seven defensive contributions and won five duels throughout proceedings, despite usually being known for his play at the other end of the pitch.

Jordan Pickford had a similarly influential impact for his team, as he made a stunning six saves to help Everton to three points, despite them playing with 10 men for over 75 minutes.

The England number one took to Instagram after the game, as she shared a photo of himself sharing an embrace with Grealish, accompanied by the caption: “Monday night footy. Some result that, away end was even better!”

Grealish was quick to reply with a message of support for his teammate, as he commented: “Get in there meee babbbiii,” under the post.

Everton permanent move for Grealish could be on

Pete O’Rourke revealed on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast back in August that Manchester City are already prepared to entertain offers for Grealish at the end of his loan spell.

The Toffees may now have a genuine hope of being able to activate their £50m option to keep the star permanently, according to Goodison News.

That comes after transfer expert David Ornstein revealed that the possibility of Everton triggering the clause was “not so unrealistic” back in October, despite the fact that many people seemed to rule it out when the deal was signed.

Grealish’s move to Merseyside has had a phenomenal impact for both parties so far, and as a result, it would be hugely surprising if they aren’t both keen to try and make it a permanent agreement in the future.
