James Maddison sends passionate message to Harry Kane with Liverpool legend present
Tottenham midfielder James Maddison has sent a celebratory message to Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane with a Liverpool legend alongside.
Kane spent 19 years at Spurs, coming through the academy ranks at the club, before making a move to the Bundesliga giants in the summer of 2023.
Around a month before the England captain left the North London club, Maddison completed his switch from Leicester City, and the pair never played a competitive game together in Tottenham colours.
Both players tasted silverware last season, as Bayern cruised to the Bundesliga title, and Spurs beat Manchester United in the Europa League final.

James Maddison sends Harry Kane ‘partner’ message
Away from the pitch, Kane marked his latest milestone on Monday (28 July), as he celebrated his 32nd birthday.
Maddison took to Instagram to send his well wishes to the Bayern Munich striker.
Despite never playing together at club level, Maddison and Kane have been teammates on the international stage, and the Tottenham midfielder shared a photo of the pair in England gear with the caption: “Happy Birthday partner.”
Whilst he is now well into his 30s and potentially coming towards the end of his career, Kane has shown no signs of slowing down on the pitch.
Since joining Bayern two years ago, the former Spurs man has scored 62 Bundesliga goals in total, unsurprisingly picking up the golden boot at the end of both seasons.

‘Tottenham eye Jack Grealish deal’
Meanwhile, Tottenham have reportedly set their sights on a deal to sign Jack Grealish after missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White.
That is according to their former scout Mick Brown, who claims that the 29-year-old has moved up the list of targets for Thomas Frank.
Spurs are aiming to add a new attacking midfield option to their squad, but the England international’s ability to play out wide is seen as a valuable asset.
This comes after Football Insider revealed on 22 May that Grealish does not expect to remain at City and feels he has been “frozen out” by Guardiola.
There is no shortage of interest in the former Villa man, but the finances involved have been a hindrance to his future.
