James Tavernier sends message to Rangers fans after development
Rangers captain James Tavernier has taken to social media to celebrate their 3-0 Scottish Premier League win over Ross County on Sunday (December 8).
Tavernier, 33, scored Rangers’ third and his second in consecutive games as Philippe Clement’s side closed the gap on second-placed Aberdeen to just two points.
Hamza Igamane opened the scoring after six minutes with a long-range effort before striker Danilo doubled their lead just after the half-hour mark.
The veteran right-back then got in on the act in the 86th minute to secure all three points for the visitors ahead of their Europa League clash with Tottenham on Thursday (December 12).
The Glasgow giants have seen an uptake in form in recent weeks, winning four of their last five games across all competitions.
James Tavernier remains central to Philippe Clement’s Rangers plans
Tavernier has once again been integral to Rangers this season, starting 21 of his 24 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and providing five assists in 1870 minutes of action.
Delighted with the win and his side’s improved form, Tavernier took to Instagram to celebrate their win over Ross County, saying: “+3 happy Sunday. #UEL next. See you at Ibrox.”

Clement will need Tavernier’s vast experience as they welcome former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglu and his struggling Spurs side in midweek.
Rangers’ attention will then return to the Scotting League Cup as they travel across Glasgow to face Postecoglu’s former side on Sunday (December 15).
