Jarrad Branthwaite, Dominic Calvert-Lewin react to emotional Everton farewell

Everton stars Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin reacted to an emotional farewell message on social media.

Thanks to the magic of David Moyes‘ management, the Toffees have risen from a relegation battle to near the top-half of the table in just a matter of months.

Everton’s 3-1 win over Fulham moved the club up to 12th in the table, and there will be plenty of excitement heading into next season.

But the Toffees face several question marks over their squad this summer, with several players linked with a move away, and plenty more, including Calvert-Lewin, being out of contract.

Everton set for huge squad overhaul under David Moyes

Football Insider Verdict

Ahead of their move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton look set for a huge overhaul of their squad this summer.

Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Michael Keane, Idrissa Gueye, and Seamus Coleman are all out of contract this summer and their futures remain unclear.

Thanks to The Friedkin Group refinancing the loan on their new stadium, Everton are on firmer financial footing.

As a consequence, they will have some cash to play with, but whether it is enough to finance a squad rebuild remains to be seen.

If it is not, the club may be forced to cash in on one of their star players, and there is interest from Liverpool in Branthwaite, though selling their best player to their biggest rivals is unlikely to appeal to many fans.
