Jarrod Bowen apologises after incident with West Ham fans at Molineux
West Ham United captain Jarrod Bowen has had to issue an apology after the Hammers’ League Cup exit to Wolves.
Graham Potter is under pressure at West Ham, and his side could not record a morale boosting victory in the League Cup against Premier League opposition despite leading with less than ten minutes to go.
Goals from Tomas Soucek and Lucas Pauqeta had turned the tie around for West Ham after Rodrigo Gomes has put the home side ahead in the first half.
Substitute Jorgen Strand Larsen though netted a quick fire double, within two minutes of each other to send West Ham out of the competition and consign them to a third straight defeat.

After the match, Bowen took to Instagram to share an apology with supporters after he went across to the away end at the full-time whistle.
Stewards had to intervene after Bowen appeared to get angered by a comment from a supporter.
The scenes showed the current discord with players and supporters over the poor form the club have showed at the beginning of this season.

The Irons skipper wrote on an Instagram stories post: “Apologies to the fans for tonight’s reaction.
“I’m someone who is passionate and will fight every time I step on the pitch. But I need to set a better example and you fans know how much I love you and this club!
“We ride through the bad times together and I’ll see you all Sunday” with Irons and Heart emojis.
Graham Potter faces unwelcome disunity

Football Insider Verdict
The incident between Bowen and a supporter at full-time will have done nothing to ease the pressure on Potter following a late defeat at Wolves.
Wolves were able to bring their top striker Strand Larsen off the bench, which proved the difference between two sides struggling at the bottom end of the Premier League table.
