Jarrod Bowen responds to Ward-Prowse’s West Ham announcement

Jarrod Bowen joined a host of West Ham teammates in reacting to James Ward-Prowse’s recent milestone at the club.

The midfielder has enjoyed consistent game time under Graham Potter since being recalled from his loan at Nottingham Forest during the winter window.

However, Ward-Prowse has struggled for form in a struggling West Ham side currently sitting 15th in the Premier League.

His failed loan spell at Nottingham Forest may have been a disappointment to the hierarchy at West Ham, as they wanted to sell Ward-Prowse last summer but settled with a temporary move.

Still, since returning to East London, he has started 10 of the last 12 matches and has now reached a notable career milestone in the process.

James Ward-Prowse surpasses 400 Premier League appearances

After making 12 consecutive appearances since returning from his loan spell, Ward-Prowse has now surpassed an impressive milestone of 400 Premier League games.

The official West Ham account marked the achievement with a tribute post reading: “400 Premier League appearances. Congratulations, JWP!”

The message drew reactions from several teammates, including Bowen, Max Kilman and Dinos Mavropanos, who all liked the post.

The majority of his tally came during his long spell at Southampton, where he made a record 343 Premier League appearances for the club.

However, since his move last season, his time at the Hammers has been less impactful. The midfielder has scored seven goals and provided 12 assists across 65 appearances in all competitions.

West Ham appear to be preparing for a busy summer window, with Potter already planning reinforcements for his first full season in charge.

Football Insider revealed that Potter is pushing to bring in Aaron Ramsdale as part of the club’s wider overhaul.

With the departures of Danny Ings, Vladimir Coufal, Aaron Cresswell and Lukasz Fabianski all confirmed, the side are set for changes in several key positions.

Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has urged West Ham to sign Ramsdale, citing his ability to provide not only depth but strong competition for Alphonse Areola, who has endured an inconsistent campaign.

Fabianski’s exit will leave a significant gap in the goalkeeping department, and the Hammers are expected to be active in the market to support Potter’s vision for next season.
