Jarrod Bowen: This is the ‘biggest worry’ for West Ham after ‘baffling’ update – expert
West Ham have suffered a “big loss” after a “baffling” Jarrod Bowen injury update, according to Alex McLeish
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted he “can’t understand” how the Hammers’ medical team do not know exactly what is wrong with the 25-year-old.
As reported by the Guardian on Monday (21 March), scans have indicated the winger has suffered a fractured foot bone but that West Ham are struggling to identify the cause of the problem.

As such, the Hammers are reportedly unsure when Bowen could be back in action.
McLeish admitted not knowing when their attacking talisman could return would be the “biggest worry” for David Moyes.
McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “He’s a big loss to them. There’s absolutely no doubt about that.
“He’s a fantastic player who has had a great introduction to the Premier League in the last couple of years. You’ve got to admire the type of player he is.
“What I can’t understand is that they don’t know what it is. That, for me, is a little bit baffling, that they can solve this ailment that he has.
“Whether it’s something that we’ve never heard of before, I just can’t see how the West Ham surgeons whoever he goes to see, private medics, can’t (know). I’m sure they will know what it is.
“I guess the biggest worry is time scale.”

Bowen suffered the injury earlier this month in the defeat to Liverpool.
He has sat out the Hammers’ last four games, including both legs against Sevilla in the Europa League.
In other news, pundit claims Moyes has thrown five West Ham players under the bus after key development.
