Jason Holt makes honest admission about Rangers defeat v Kilmarnock
Midfielder Jason Holt has revealed he was “delighted” to see Graeme Murty appointed as Rangers manager until the end of the season – and admitted that the players let Murty, the fans and themselves down by losing to Kilmarnock last weekend.
Murty was confirmed as manager until the end of the season lasr Friday before the Gers fell to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Kilmarnock on Saturday afternoon.
The Light Blues were second best for long spells against Steve Clarke’s side despite leading 1-0 for much of the second-half before a two-minute double from Kris Boyd sealed the points for Killie.
“We are all delighted that Murts has the job until the end of the season,” Holt said, as quoted by the Evening Times.
“We will give everything we’ve got from now until he steps down.
“For the fans, for the club in general we need to get things right and make it better.
“We didn’t just let the manager down, we let ourselves down.
“When you don’t win a game of football for this club you let everyone down.”
