Jayden Bogle, Mateusz Klich react to Manor Solomon announcement at Leeds United

Leeds United caught the attention of past and present Elland Road stars with a new announcement on Manor Solomon’s future.

The Israeli winger played an incredibly important role as the Whites won promotion back to the Premier League last season, netting the goal to secure the Championship title with his 10th of the campaign.

He also boasted another 13 assists, taking his total to 23 goal contributions in 41 appearances, with Leeds supporters desperate for Solomon to sign permanently from Tottenham this summer.

Mick Brown told Football Insider that Thomas Frank will wait to decide on the winger‘s next move, giving the 25-year-old a chance to prove himself in North London during pre-season.

While this does completely rule out a return to West Yorkshire, those at Elland Road have waved goodbye to the star player following his successful season-long loan in the Championship.

Manor Solomon departs Leeds United a hero

Taking to Instagram (1 July), the official club account wrote: “Thank you, Manor Solomon,” with a love heart emoji, gaining likes from Jayden Bogle, Mateusz Klich, Largie Ramazani, and Harry Gray.

Daniel Farke begins hard work ahead of Premier League return

Football Insider verdict

Lukas Nmecha and Jaka Bijol have both been added to the squad ahead of next season, and Football Insider understands that Leeds are preparing a £12million bid for Angers star Himad Abdelli.

Despite claiming top spot in the Championship last term, there were still obvious weaknesses in the squad that will be torn apart in the Premier League, especially after multiple exits.

Solomon and Joe Rothwell have returned to their parent clubs, with Junior Firpo set to join Real Betis, and uncertain futures over Illan Meslier, Jack Harrison, Patrick Bamford, and Joel Piroe.

Football Insider revealed that Leeds will not be building the squad around Piroe, who netted 19 goals in the Championship last season, seven more than the next highest at Elland Road, Dan James.

Securing the signing of a talented, trustworthy, experienced new centre-forward will be crucial before the Whites make the scary leap up to the Premier League once again.

Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, and Bogle have allowed Daniel Farke to build a solid base, but there is still plenty of work to be done before the new season kicks off.
