Alonso may not be the only key figure departing the German champions this summer, with continued speculation surrounding Frimpong’s future.

Back in March, Football Insider revealed that Liverpool were monitoring Frimpong as a potential replacement for Alexander-Arnold.

His attacking threat from right-back has drawn significant attention as he’s contributed 16 goals and assists this season alone, following an exceptional 26 goal contributions in the previous campaign.

It has been reported that Frimpong’s release clause is just €35 million (£29.6 million), sparking interest from several top European clubs.

Football Insider also revealed in Decemebr that Manchester City are keen on re-signing Frimpong as they plan for life beyond Kyle Walker.

Whether the Premier League rivals end up going head-to-head for his signature remains to be seen, but fans are already anticipating who will step into Alexander-Arnold’s role at Liverpool.
