Jesse Lingard: West Ham told to act quickly as offer submitted
West Ham must act quickly to sign Jesse Lingard before Newcastle better their offer.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the attacker’s next club.
On Monday (23 May) The Daily Mail reported West Ham have made an offer to sign Lingard, 29, ahead of his Man United contract expiring next month.

However, BBC Sport have also reported (4 May) that Newcastle, Juventus and AC Milan are all interested in signing the attacker.
Kenny claims the Hammers must act quickly to sign Lingard or they risk Newcastle stealing him away.
“I just wonder if another club will come in for Lingard now West Ham have made an offer,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We know Newcastle were interested in January, it sounds like they are interested again.
“If they come in, we know they can offer better wages and probably more game time too.
“West Ham have their own advantages. Lingard has been there before, it’s a London club as well.
“But money talks. So I would urge West Ham to get this one done as soon as possible because I think there is a risk he could go somewhere else.”

Lingard only started two Premier League games during the 2021-22 season after failing to move away from Old Trafford in the summer of 2021 and in January.
As revealed by Football Insider, the Red Devils rejected a £5million loan bid for Lingard from Newcastle in January.
