Jesse Marsch: Ex-Leeds star ‘worried’ by ‘big’ update on manager hunt
Jesse Marsch does not have enough experience to be appointed Leeds United manager.
That’s according to former Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about his former side’s potential next manager.
On Thursday (17 February) The Telegraph reported Marsch is Leeds United’s first choice to replace Marcelo Bielsa this summer.

The Argentine’s contract will expire at the end of the season and Marsch is out of work after being sacked by RB Leipzig in December.
However, Kenny claims Leeds should look to appoint someone with more Premier League experience.
“I always find it strange that Bielsa only signs these one-year contracts,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“It’s difficult to get players in and sell them a project, you don’t know if he will be there.
“I find it really strange but that’s how he works. Regarding Marsch, I don’t know a great deal about him.
“He was sacked earlier this season so that doesn’t look good.
“He has experience but whether it’s enough experience to come in and manage a Premier League side, we will have to wait and see.
“Whoever replaces Bielsa has a massive job on their hands, the man is an icon. I’m a bit worried about it.
“The big thing for me is that experience. I don’t know if Marsch is ready to manage a massive club like Leeds.
“I would probably be happier with someone who has more Premier League experience.”

Marsch previously managed New York Red Bulls and RB Salzburg before taking over at Leipzig.
He also spent time as the assistant manager of the United States Men’s National Team.
