Jesse Marsch ‘fears’ the sack after Leeds United source’s update – pundit
Alan Hutton has suggested Jesse Marsch will be “fearful” over his future at Leeds United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa defender insisted managers need to win to keep their jobs.
On Saturday (12 November), sources told this site that the 49-year-old is still on shaky ground at the club despite recent wins over Liverpool at Anfield and Bournemouth.
The Whites head into the World Cup break two points clear of the drop zone following a dramatic 4-3 defeat to Tottenham at the weekend (12 November).
Leeds chiefs are worried the club could be facing a season-long relegation battle if they don’t make a managerial change during the winter break.
Hutton suggested the American may be running out of time to turn things around.
“We have seen how many managers have already been sacked,” he told Football Insider.
“In this day and age it is about results. If you are not winning then it is always going to be difficult to keep your job.
“He seems like quite a fiery character, very emotional. He is getting sent off, he is running up and down the touchline. He is just one of those types of guys.

“I think it has been a difficult job for him, taking over from [Marcelo] Bielsa because he was loved. Are the players that he has brought in good enough? Has he really solved the striker issue? Probably not.
“He will be fearful. If it keeps going the way it is going then it is going to be difficult.“
