Jim White in new explosive Man United rant live on air: ‘Can you believe we’re talking in these terms?’
Jim White has launched a barrage of criticism at Manchester United amid the current managerial situation at Old Trafford.
Man United are set to decide between Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick as they bring in an interim manager for the rest of the season.
The Red Devils dismissed Ruben Amorim last week, after the relationship between the board and the Portuguese manager had broken down.
Man United have likely spent around £100million in compensation for managers in recent years, with Amorim representing yet another failed project.
Carrick is highly rated at Man United, and the former midfielder may well do a good job, but there is a need for far more change at Old Trafford.
Jim White asks explosive Man United questions
The story of Man United appears to be on repeat every single time a new manager walks through the doors at Carrington.
Backing with expensive signings leads to hope, with positive performances promising that maybe this is the time the Red Devils will be back.
Even though they lost to Arsenal on the opening day of the season, Man United fans were filled with hope by their side’s performance.

Amorim’s side had looked energetic, brave and full of quality. But then came the stage that always follows at Man United – the collapse.
One factor has persisted throughout for the managers who have come and gone over the years, and that is the relationship with the board.
Incompetency is rife in the boardroom at Old Trafford, and there is a feeling that the story will not change until that is addressed.
Speaking on talkSPORT on Monday, White said: “We’re not out of January yet, we’re not even in the middle of January yet and already we’re talking about this season being a write-off.
“Manchester United fans listening this morning – do you accept that this season is a write-off? Really, no one expects you to do anything now.
“Out of both cup competitions, not even in Europe and really, your players are playing for pride. I mean, what is about to happen in this transfer window, before the window shuts? Is anyone going to come the way of Manchester United?
“Because you’ll have an interim in who replaced the last interim. Can you believe we’re talking in these terms?”
Darren Fletcher makes Man United demand
Man United were dumped out of the FA Cup by Brighton on Sunday, leaving just Premier League fixtures for the rest of the season.
It cannot be understated how much of a disaster this season has been for the Red Devils, but interim manager Darren Fletcher insisted there was still something to play for.

“Someone is going to come in and lead them and they need to make sure that they’ve got a lot to play for this season,” he said after the game.
“This team’s still good enough to achieve success this season but they’ve got to dig deep and find a way within themselves.”
While finishing inside the top four feels like a fantasy for Man United, securing European football for next season would feel like a sizable victory.
