Joao Pedro sends farewell message after January Brighton exit confirmed
Joao Pedro has posted on social media to bid farewell to after a departure from Brighton was confirmed.
Football Insider revealed earlier this week that Feyenoord had beaten Premier League duo Everton and Leicester City to the signing of the 25-year-old.
It was then confirmed on Monday (20 January) that Jakub Moder has completed a permanent move to the Dutch giants for an undisclosed fee.
In response to that, Pedro has paid a touching tribute to his now-former Brighton teammate in the wake of his departure.
Joao Pedro reacts as Jakub Moder seals Brighton exit
With Moder joining the Seagulls in 2020 and Pedro moving from Watford in the summer of 2023, the midfielder has always been a teammate of the Brazilian while he has been at the AMEX Stadium.
Now it appears as though the attacker will feel the absence of Moder now that he has sealed his move away from Brighton.
Taking to his Instagram story in the wake the midfielder’s transfer, Pedro posted a picture of the pair posing together, along with the caption: “All the best my brother, I’ll miss you”.

Football Insider Verdict
Moder struggled for opportunities during his time with the Seagulls, something that was admittedly not helped by some significant injury problems.
Even so, that may mean Brighton may feel this is a deal they could afford to do, although that may be a different story when it comes to Pedro himself.
Football Insider understands Liverpool are one club who have looked into a potential move for the attacker, but his key influence as a regular scorer means the Seagulls will surely not want to let him go.
In other news, one Brighton player could receive an “extended ban” after what happened against Man United.
