Joelinton reacts to Eddie Howe announcement at Newcastle United
Joelinton has reacted to a new announcement on social media concerning Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe.
The former Bournemouth figure’s last few weeks have been quite difficult, and even scary, after being hospitalised with pneumonia, seeing Jason Tindall take over as interim manager.
Despite this, the Magpies have continued their fine form in the Premier League, losing just one of their last seven matches and rising to third in the league table with four matches remaining.
Howe’s incredible work this term has seen him tipped for the England job, with Thomas Tuchel only in charge until the 2026 World Cup finishes, and those at St James’ Park have grown concerned over this possibility.
Until then, the 47-year-old will hope to continue creating history at St James’ Park and get Newcastle back into the Champions League ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Eddie Howe could win deserved award at St James’ Park
Taking to Instagram (1 May), the official Newcastle United account wrote: “Five wins in six matches in April. Eddie Howe and his coaching staff have been nominated for the Barclays Manager of the Month award.”
Despite suffering a huge injury blow, ruling him out for the remainder of the season, Joelinton showed support for his manager and staff by liking the announcement.

Football Insider verdict
After an incredible run of results, and despite Howe’s absence, it now looks highly likely that the Magpies will be back in Europe’s most prestigious competition ahead of next season.
That could be especially important heading into the summer transfer market, with the draw of playing in Europe likely to help bring big names to St James’ Park while also keeping stars at the club.

Alexander Isak’s future at Newcastle has been widely debated, with Bruno Guimaraes, Sandro Tonali, and Anthony Gordon’s futures also up in the air after plenty of links to moves elsewhere.
Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) are discussed a lot when it comes to the Magpies as well, with many expecting one big player to be sold to avoid any chance of punishments due to financial loss.
However, if Newcastle and Howe are to be battling in the Champions League next season, the squad will need to be much more adaptable and flexible, meaning multiple signings need to be made.
