John Hartson praises exceptional Celtic 20-year-old after Inverness rout

By Dominic Toner

John Hartson heaped praise on Celtic striker Moussa Dembele after his contribution in the victory over Inverness on Saturday.

The 20-year-old scored a 14-minute hat-trick in the second-half as the Bhoys cruised to a 6-0 victory in the Scottish Cup fifth-round.

Brendan Rodgers decided to field a strong team for the cup and they were 1-0 up at half-time thanks to a Mikael Lustig goal.

Dembele’s heroics, plus late goals from Kieran Tierney and Scott Brown completed a comfortable afternoon for the Scottish champions.

Ex-Celtic striker Hartson described Dembele as “unbelievable” after the game on his personal Twitter account.

Dembele has been in sensational form since he joined from Fulham in the summer, scoring 26 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions.

The young Frenchman has already helped Celtic go 27 points clear at the top of the league and lift the Scottish League Cup, but will hope to achieve the treble after progressing through the Scottish Cup on Saturday.

He is currently in a purple patch of form after scoring back-to-back hat-tricks for the Bhoys, with three goals in the league against St Johnstone on last Sunday.

Dembele has proven to be unplayable for most defenders and is regarded as one of the best upcoming talents in Europe.
