Johnstone could leave West Brom this month after major update - Campbell
Kevin Campbell insists Sam Johnstone could easily leave West Brom this summer despite talk of a new contract.
The former Albion striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, reacted to the latest reports on the stopper’s future.
On 4th August, The Athletic reported Johnstone and West Brom are in talks over a new contract.
The England international’s current deal expires next summer.
Johnstone, 28, had an outstanding Premier League season last term despite Albion’s immediate return to the Championship.
There has been interest in Johnstone this summer as Football Insider reported on 22nd July that West Ham offered up to £11million for his services.

However, the Hammers have signed Alphonse Areola from PSG instead.
Despite talk of a new deal and a cryptic tweet, Campbell insists Johnstone could still leave The Hawthorns this summer.
“I still think there’s an opportunity for him to move,” Campbell told Football Insider correspondent Dylan Childs.
“The season has started now so it needs to be sorted out.
“If he doesn’t go this season, they will see what happens because he is a very capable goalkeeper.
“Johnstone brought them up last time, he could be the difference-maker in the Championship again.
“I’m sure there are plenty of teams coveting him, it will be an interesting end to the transfer window.”
Johnstone was benched as Albion drew 2-2 with Bournemouth on Friday night.
The Baggies are next in action when they face Luton Town at The Hawthorns next weekend.
