Jordan Henderson ‘frustrated’ at Liverpool after BBC’s investigation reveal – pundit

Alan Hutton has claimed Jordan Henderson is “frustrated” at Liverpool.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Tottenham and Aston Villa right-back said Arsenal’s penalty against the Reds on Sunday (9 October) rubbed Henderson “the wrong way”.

As reported by the BBC (9 October), the FA are probing an onfield confrontation between the 32-year-old and Gabriel Magalhaes after Arsenal were awarded a penalty.

Referee Michael Oliver spoke to both managers after the confrontation and is said to have made them aware of something one of the players was alleged to have said to the other.

The Reds went on to lose the game 3-2.

When asked if it was stupid for a captain to get involved in a confrontation, Hutton told Football Insider: “It can be.

But everybody gets frustrated.

I do not think there was much in it [the penalty] to be honest so I would be the exact same.

You do get frustrated. It was a difficult game for Liverpool going into it with all the pressure that was on them.

So it could just be a little bit of built up frustration. It is an emotional sport.

Of course you look at someone like Jordan Henderson and you maybe think to yourself, ‘maybe he shouldn’t act like that’.

But we are all humans at the end of the day and certain things just rub you up the wrong way and that is obviously what happened to him.
