Jordan Pickford could ‘easily’ leave Everton this month after boardroom development – pundit
Jordan Pickford could “easily” leave Everton in January as the club stalls on handing him a new deal.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the stopper’s future.
A Daily Mail report on Tuesday (27 December) claimed there is a boardroom delay on a new deal for the goalkeeper, who is out of contract in 18 months.

It is claimed the board have not signed off on the new contract despite it being verbally agreed with Pickford before he headed to the Qatar World Cup with England.
This is said to have alerted Man United and Chelsea who are both looking to bolster their goalkeeping ranks.
McManus would now not be surprised to see Pickford leave Goodison Park this month.
“Pickford is better than Everton, he is England’s number one and this is the second season they have been in a relegation battle,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“If the board are not giving him a new deal, one he feels he deserves, then I’m sure there are plenty of clubs who would take him.
“Pretty much every Premier League side would pay very good money for him, he has options. So why would Everton risk it?
“Pickford could easily leave the club in January if he decides he’s had enough. Stranger things have happened but this needs to be sorted quickly.”

Pickford has started all but one of Everton’s Premier League games this season.
He has kept three clean sheets in the competition.
