Jorgen Strand Larsen ‘has a buyout clause’ – Newcastle fans react unanimously
Newcastle fans reacted all but unanimously after summer target Jorgen Strand Larsen has signed a new deal at Wolves.
Newcastle had multiple bids rejected for Strand Larsen in the summer, as he was identified as a potential replacement for Alexander Isak.
But Wolves did not want to sell Strand Larsen, especially since they had already lost Matheus Cunha, as well as the Norwegian signing permanently earlier that summer.
Instead, the Magpies turned attention to Nick Woltemade and Yoane Wissa, who were both signed this summer to add to their attacking options.
Now, they have faced a further blow if the club wants to reignite their interest following the latest news.

Jorgen Strand Larsen agrees new deal at Wolves
On 19 September, Wolves announced that Strand Larsen has signed a new deal at the club, extending his contract to 2029.
After his brilliant debut season where he netted 14 goals at the club, Wolves opened new contract talks with Strand Larsen to give him a pay-rise and better reflect his status within the squad.
He continues to play an important role in the team, after netting a brace in Wolves’ Carabao Cup victory over West Ham.
However, he has been recovering from injury since that fixture, but Strand Larsen has returned to training ahead of the game against Leeds.

Newcastle fans speculate on relegation clause in Strand Larsen deal
As for Newcastle, Woltemade made an impressive start after scoring on his debut but was dropped for Anthony Gordon against Barcelona.
Manager Howe appears to be gradually integrating his new signings, with Malik Thiaw also seeing limited minutes.
With Yoane Wissa already suffering an injury and out until October, a move to return to sign Strand Larsen hasn’t been ruled out by supporters.
Cunha had also signed a new deal at Wolves after the winter window, but had been sold to Man United months later, thanks to a relegation clause in his contract.
Now, Newcastle fans are convinced the same sort of clause has been inserted into Strand Larsen’s new deal. One fan reacted to the news with: “Hopefully nice Relegation clause in it so we can pick him up next Summer”, with another adding, “It’s just so that they’ll get more money next year, he’ll move next summer!”
