Jorgen Strand Larsen reacts to Wolves teammate’s message after key development
Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen shared a reaction after an encouraging update on a teammate returning from a long-term injury.
Vitor Pereira’s side have endured a mixed start to the season after they were thrashed by Manchester City on the opening weekend but responded well with wins, including Wolves beating West Ham in the Carabao Cup on 26 August.
Pereira, who arrived in December and guided Wolves away from relegation danger last season, but has since had to deal with a summer of significant departures. Matheus Cunha sealed a move to Manchester United, while Nelson Semedo joined Fenerbahce.
Strand Larsen himself has been at the centre of speculation, with Newcastle United making multiple bids for the Norwegian striker — both of which have been rejected by Wolves.
Amid the uncertainty over his own future, the 25-year-old was quick to show his delight as a teammate made a long-awaited return in the clash against West Ham, giving supporters another boost after a turbulent period on the sidelines.
Wolves stars react as Sasa Kalajdzic makes return from ACL injury
After Wolves knocked out their Premier League rivals in the Carabao Cup, Sasa Kalajdzic marked his long-awaited return to action following an ACL injury that kept him sidelined for the whole of last season.
The striker shared his joy on Instagram, posting: “Long time no see. Thank you for your support! I appreciate it.”
Strand Larsen was among the players to react by liking the post, while Yerson Mosquera commented: “Great to see you back” and former Wolves forward Raul Jimenez also showed his support with a like.
Kalajdzic’s injury struggles have been relentless since joining Wolves. He suffered an ACL tear on his debut in 2022, before another cruciate ligament injury struck during a loan spell at Frankfurt in February last year.
Now, after a gruelling recovery, he has finally pulled on the Wolves shirt again and made an appearance for the first team.
However, reports suggest Wolves could be open to offers for Kalajdzic this summer, with patience at the club wearing thin after his repeated setbacks.
