Jorginho is ‘being investigated’ after Newcastle United latest – pundit
Frank McAvennie has claimed Jorginho is “being investigated” at Chelsea ahead of a possible move to Newcastle United.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker is worried Jorginho would only move to Newcastle for the money.
According to the Daily Mail (27 December), the Magpies could move to acquire the 31-year-old in the January window ahead of his contract expiring in the summer.

Graham Potter is said to be keen on reducing the average age of his squad with Jorginho one of the players that could be shipped out.
Football Insider revealed last week (28 December) that the north-east giants have ruled out the signing of the midfielder as he is considered too old for their project.
McAvennie is worried about Jorginho’s behaviour at Chelsea
“I do not see him fighting,” he told Football Insider.
“I do not see an urgency. Maybe there is something happening behind the scenes. I would think there will be investigations into that one.

“He might just go for the money. Newcastle have to be so careful they do not want that. I do not know if he is the way forward for Newcastle.
“I think Eddie Howe will want to bring in players who will be there for the next four or five years. I think by that point they will be challenging for everything. Jorginho might be good enough for a season or two and it might be what he needs.“
