Joshua Zirkzee ‘agrees’ Man United transfer as ‘new offer’ tabled
Joshua Zirkzee has agreed to move on loan to Roma in the January window after they sent a new offer to Man United.
Joshua Zirkzee has failed to make an impact at Man United ever since he joined the club from Bologna in 2024.
He netted just seven goals in 49 appearances last term, while he only managed to make 14 league starts as talk of him being set to depart after just a year with the Red Devils was rife in the summer window.
The striker has stuck around at Old Trafford despite numerous forward arrivals, but a lack of game-time has led Football Insider to reveal that Zirkzee wants to leave United in January.
Zirkzee failed to shine against Everton after he was handed a rare opportunity to impress with a start last time out, and his time at Old Trafford looks increasingly likely to come to an end in January after a fresh development.

Zirkzee verbally agrees to Roma switch with loan-to-buy deal on table
Roma opened talks to sign Zirkzee last month with the Netherlands international “actively exploring” his options for a move in the new year as he looks to boost his chances of going to the 2026 World Cup.
Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport have now revealed that he is edging closer to a move to Roma after he “said yes” to the move and is excited by the prospect of working under Gian Piero Gasperini.

United have reportedly decided to let him leave and are currently evaluating the Giallorossi’s new offer, which is an initial loan with an option-to-buy that becomes an obligation if Roma qualify for the Champions League this season.
Premier League clubs set to miss out on Zirkzee
Zirkzee has failed to impress in the Premier League so far, but has shown glimpses of his talent at times and clearly has what it takes to be a decent forward in a top league going forward.
Football Insider have recently revealed that Everton and West Ham are both interested in moves for Zirkzee in January as they each aim to add more depth up-front for the second-half of the campaign.

Recent reports have claimed that he is understood to be open to staying in the Premier League if he is allowed to leave Old Trafford, but a move back to Italy is bound to appeal considering his previous Serie A form with Bologna.
Despite their desire to add him to the squad, both Everton and West Ham are set to miss out on the Dutchman in January as he moves closer to Roma following this latest update.
