Josip Juranovic backed to leave Celtic for ‘hefty fee’ after agent’s reveal – expert

Alan Hutton has insisted that Celtic defender Josip Juranovic could be a “top full-back” in the Premier League.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Rangers right back has said there will be a high price tag on the 26-year-old this summer.

Speaking to Croatian outlet Index (27 June), Juranovic’s agent revealed that there has been interest in his client from five different leagues.

The Hoops signed the Croatian international on a five-year deal last summer.

Juranovic excelled for Ange Postecoglou’s side last season.

When asked for his assessment of the latest, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think he’s got all the attributes to be a top full-back in the Premier League.

“It’s difficult to sit here and figure out what team exactly but I’m sure there will be a lot of eyes on him.

“He’s first choice at Celtic, I think he scored about five or six goals [last season], he’s very calm, he was a penalty taker. He’s very versatile he can play on the left or the right so that suits a lot of clubs moving forward.

The only thing is it’s going to take a hefty fee to get him out of his contract. English clubs aren’t going to struggle with that but I’m sure there’s a lot of clubs keeping tabs on that.

Juranovic made 26 league appearances for Celtic last season.

He scored three times and provided one assist.
