Josko Gvardiol posts four-word message to Man City fans after horror twist
Man City defender Josko Gvardiol has posted a message on social media to the fans after their 4-2 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Croatian international played the full-game for the Citizens, with his error leading to PSG’s fourth goal in the 93rd minute.
Jack Grealish played the role of super-sub, coming off the bench at half-time for Savinho, scoring City’s opener just five minutes later.
The highest paid man in European football, Erling Haaland, doubled the Sky Blues’ lead just three minutes later, scoring from a deflected Grealish pass.
However, PSG then came flying out of the blocks and levelled the score-line in the 53rd and 60th minute thanks to Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola.
The Parisians took the lead in the 78th minute, thanks to a wonderful diving header from Joao Neves.
PSG then capped off a phenomenal second-half, as Goncalo Ramos scored in the 93rd minute to give the Parisians all three points.
Gvardiol remains optimistic despite for result for Man City
Gvardiol has been a revelation for the Citizens since signing for £77.6million [Sky Sports] from RB Leipzig in August 2023.
The Croatian was originally brought in to play as a centre-back but has instead become a key feature of the side at left-back.
The former Dinamo Zagreb man is City’s third-highest goal-scorer this season, behind Haaland and Phil Foden, and has been a silver-lining in an abysmal season.
After the loss to PSG, City must beat Club Brugge to guarantee qualification to the knockout stages.
However, Gvardiol chose to remain positive about the team’s chances this season, posting on his Instagram a message that says: “We will never give up!”

Pep Guardiola has received a boost to his squad, with confirmation that Omar Marmoush has signed from Frankfurt.
In other news, Grealish has broken his social media silence after “weird” Man City confession.
