Jota: Celtic tipped to complete permanent signing today – Kenny
Celtic could complete the permanent signing of Jota before the January transfer window closes.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Hoops’ winter business.
A club source told Football Insider on 10 January that Celtic are close to signing the Portuguese winger permanently and a source updated on 14 January that the fee will be over £5million on top of the loan fee already paid.

Jota, 22, recently returned from injury and has now made 22 appearances for the Hoops.
In those games, he has scored eight goals and registered eight assists.
Kenny is surprised Celtic have not completed the deal already and expects there could be confirmation of the deal before tonight’s deadline.
“I’m surprised, I thought this would have been sorted ages ago,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I think it will get done this window. Otherwise, there is the risk of another club coming in.
“Celtic might be able to sign him whenever they want to but that just begs the question, why haven’t they?
“Maybe they want to get all of their other business done first. That’s the only reason I can think of.
“The fans will be worried if there is no news though, he’s been one of their best players this season.”

Celtic are next in action against Rangers on Wednesday night (2 February).
They sit just two points behind their city rivals in the Premiership table.
