Juan Mata sends message to Bruno Fernandes after Man United star’s masterclass
Man United playmaker Bruno Fernandes was subject to an embarrassing birthday post from ex-teammate Juan Mata on Sunday.
The 30-year-old scored the equaliser in Portugal’s 2-1 UEFA Nations League win over Scotland to help his country secure the win on his special day.
The attacking midfielder is yet to make a single goal contribution for his club this season with the 20-time Premier League champions sitting in 14th after one win and two defeats.
Fernandes signed a new contract at Man United in August, extending his stay at the club until 30 June 2027 with an option for another year.

Before all of his success in England, however, Fernandes was a 15-year-old on loan from Boavista at tiny Porto-based club Pasteleira.

Former Spain international Mata took to Instagram to wish his friend a happy birthday and share an embarrassing photo with the world.
The 36-year-old is currently plying his trade in Australia having just signed for A-League side Western Sydney Wanderers FC.
