Jude Bellingham could ‘quit’ Real Madrid and make sensational Premier League move

Jude Bellingham has been an outstanding performer both for Real Madrid and England since his move to Spanish giants from Borussia Dortmund in 2023.

The 22-year-old has already made over 100 appearances for Los Blancos, scored 38 goals and provided 28 assists, and has lifted the Champions League.

However, he has recently found himself sidelined from Xabi Alonso‘s starting XI after recovering from a shoulder injury which ruled him out for the start of the season.

Since his return from injury, Bellingham has started just one of his four league appearances, and some in Spain have suggested he may struggle to click under Alonso.

Jude Bellingham could make Premier League move

If his role in the Madrid starting XI continues to prove inconsistent, it has been suggested that Bellingham could make a move to the Premier League.

Liverpool have been long-term admirers of Bellingham, having attempted to sign him from Dortmund in 2023, while all of England’s top clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on his situation.

That is according to former Man United and Sunderland chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Premier League clubs would all be interested in landing Bellingham if he became available.

Of course Premier League clubs are going to be interested,” he told Football Insider.

“There’s obviously some sort of an issue at Real Madrid, whether it’s just to do with the recent injury and he’s working his way back to full fitness, or it’s something else.

“He was left out of the England squad because he hasn’t been playing regularly for Madrid.

“Obviously that leads to speculation, even if it is as simple as he’s still just recovering.

“Jude Bellingham is one of the best players in the world, there’s no doubt about that, and when he’s in the England squad he’s consistently one of the best players for England.

“So of course, clubs are going to be interested in bringing him to the Premier League, as a number of them were before his move to Madrid.

“If he’s struggling to get in the team or there are some issues adapting to life under a new manager, maybe the possibility will come up for him to move.”

Following the international break, clubs will be keeping a close eye on the midfielder to see if he works his way back into Alonso’s starting XI plans.

Thomas Tuchel faces questions about Bellingham snub

Bellingham’s exclusion from Tuchel’s most recent England squad has raised further questions about the manager’s selections and midfielder’s involvement.

Tuchel was slammed for leaving Adam Wharton out of his squad, while Jack Grealish’s displays have seen him tipped for a return for the first time under the new boss.

Brown told Football Insider on 6 October that Tuchel would speak to Bellingham about his role in the squad and resolve any ongoing issues between them.

Tuchel explained that Bellingham was left out of the squad as he had yet to reach full fitness after his recent spell on the sidelines with a shoulder injury.

However, there are believed to be some concerns about the Real Madrid star’s attitude both on the pitch and behind the scenes which must be resolved.
