Jude Bellingham sends goodbye message as Real Madrid exit confirmed

Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham has taken to social media to send a farewell message.

It has been a difficult season for Los Blancos, who currently sit four points behind already-confirmed champions Barcelona, with just one game remaining.

In the Champions League, Madrid were beaten by Arsenal at the quarter-final stage, and after losing the Copa Del Rey final, will end the campaign trophyless.

For Bellingham, it has been a slightly more low-key season compared to his debut campaign, where he scored 19 LaLiga goals in just 28 games.

In his second year at the club, he has only managed to find the net nine times in the league, but has still popped up with eight assists as well.

It was confirmed this week that Carlo Ancelotti will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and begin his new role as manager of the Brazilian national team.

Ancelotti has won 15 trophies with Los Blancos, across two spells at the Bernabéu, which makes him the most successful manager in the club’s history.

Bellingham took to Instagram to pay tribute to his departing manager, posting a photo of the pair together on the sidelines.

The caption underneath the post read: “Mister, thank you for everything.

“It was a pleasure and great experience to learn from the most successful manager of our club and one of the greatest of all time.

“What you have taught me about life and football will stick with me always and I will be forever grateful. Good luck on your next journey, I wish you, your staff and your family nothing but happiness!”

Real Madrid set for summer of change

Football Insider Verdict

Ancelotti is not the only club legend departing this summer, as it was confirmed that Luca Modric will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The midfielder has spent 13 years in Madrid, winning an incredible six Champions Leagues, as well as four league titles and a Ballon d’Or.

However, Los Blancos have already brought in a number of new faces to help soften the blow of losing two icons.

Xabi Alonso will join Real Madrid and replace Ancelotti in the dugout at his former club, after leaving Bayer Leverkusen.

Alonso managed to win Leverkusen their first-ever Bundesliga title last season, in what was a historic unbeaten league campaign.

Also, Madrid have already announced the signing of Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen, and are expected to confirm Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Spain after his departure from Liverpool.
