Jude Bellingham sends message to Liverpool fans after Alexander-Arnold update
Jude Bellingham has taken to social media after confessing why he chose to join Real Madrid over Liverpool in 2023.
Speaking ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League game with Liverpool, the 21-year-old told the press a deal “wasn’t as close as it was said.”
“There were conversations. There was Dortmund and I did it with several clubs. When Real Madrid call you, there are vibrations throughout the house. It’s not the fact that the others weren’t good, it’s that Real Madrid is another level.”
Bellingham has done alright since making the move from Dortmund to the Spanish capital, playing an instrumental role in their La Liga and Champions League double last season.
The attacking midfielder struggled in the aftermath of the Euro 2024 final, failing to score in his first 12 games across all competitions for the Spanish giants.

Bellingham has since scored twice in Real Madrid’s last four games as they prepare for a Champions League trip to Anfield.
Looking ahead to the game at Anfield on Wednesday (November 27), Bellingham took to Instagram to let fans know he’s intent on making an impression.

England teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to feature in the game after rejoining first-team training, having missed Liverpool’s 3-2 Premier League victory over Southampton on Sunday (November 24).
