Jude Bellingham reacts to Dennis Cirkin’s ‘unfiltered’ Sunderland message

Jude Bellingham has reacted to an emotional message posted by Sunderland star Dennis Cirkin, who celebrated the Black Cats’ promotion back to the Premier League.

Cirkin played a vital role for the Mackems throughout the Championship campaign, making 36 league appearances, notching a return of three goals and two assists in the process.

The Englishman also played every minute of Sunderland’s playoff final victory over Sheffield United at Wembley on Saturday, 24 May.

Regis Le Bris’ men must now utilise the summer transfer window to bolster their ranks in preparation for next season’s Premier League.

Despite being a Tottenham academy product, Cirkin has never played in the Premier League and will be relishing the opportunity of top-flight football next term.

The 23-year-old took to Instagram on Monday, 26 May, to celebrate the Black Cats’ promotion as he wrote: “Raw, real, unfiltered. I knew we’d make it. The city back where it belongs. 101% to make it happen. Proud, grateful, and happy to of made this achievement with this team.

“From League One to Premier League, we done it all together. I could write endlessly, grit, perseverance, and love. Everybody has or finds their why. We found ours.

“From the staff, to the players. We completed the ‘impossible’. But this…this post is for the city, Sunderland. Everything else aside, to put a smile on one person’s face, let alone the entire city that follows day in day out is all that matters to me.

“WE ARE BACK, BABY. Bring on the pressure, hate & doubt. More to come, keep doubting.  faith in who’s responsible, trust that things will work out just as they’re meant to. Peace in faith.”

Cirkin’s post attracted a like from Real Madrid superstar Bellingham, while Sunderland teammate Chris Rigg commented: “DC” alongside a red heart emoji.

Jobe Bellingham is in Sunderland exit talks

While older brother Jude has reacted to Sunderland’s promotion via social media, Mackems ace Jobe Bellingham could be set to depart the North East this summer.

Le Bris will be keen to strengthen his squad during the transfer window to do all he can to prevent an immediate relegation back to the Championship.

However, the Stadium of Light club may have to part company with one of their finest assets, as Bellingham is in transfer talks with Eintracht Frankfurt.

While Sunderland can offer the England Under-21 international Premier League football next season, Frankfurt will be competing in next season’s Champions League after finishing third in the Bundesliga.

The 19-year-old has also attracted interest from Borussia Dortmund and Leipzig, while Keith Hatchard told Mackem News that Bellingham would be “open” to joining Dortmund.

Older brother Jude thrived in Dortmund colours before moving to Madrid, which could tempt the Sunderland man to join the Bundesliga giants.
