Jurgen Klopp has ‘put in alert line’ for Mohamed Salah after Liverpool reveal – ex-Fifa official
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has “put an alert line” to referees over Mohamed Salah’s treatment, according to Keith Hackett.
The former Fifa and Premier League official, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, said Klopp, 54, is “wise to raise the issue” of Salah, 29, with referees.
As quoted by the Guardian (15 March), Klopp called for Salah to receive better protection from officials.

The Reds boss claimed “it is crazy” how little fouls the winger is awarded.
Salah has been fouled just 20 times from 26 matches in the Premier League this season.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if the Egypt captain’s reputation as a diver is preceding him, Hackett said: “The laws of the game are there to protect players from players.
“You want to see skilful players have a long career and there is no doubt that Mo Salah is an unbelievable player. There should be recognition that he is Liverpool’s talisman.
“He’s similar to Dalglish in the sense that he gets up, dusts himself off and plays on.
“Klopp has been wise in raising the issue. That will put an alert line to referees. It is one of these subliminal tactics or influences that managers use on referees. It’s subtle with a hammer.”

Speaking on Salah, Klopp said: “It is absolutely crazy how low the number of fouls is against him.
“So he has constant contact [from defenders] and is going down all the time, having to get up again.”
